We recently got back from a Spring Break trip to NYC. It was an all-girls trip, so as you can imagine, we did a lot of shopping. We also did a lot of walking and talking and eating and not very much sleeping at all. It was so much fun that we’ve put together a mini guide for visiting New York City. There are so many things to do and see in Manhattan, each trip is different, but these are some of our favorites….
WHAT TO PACK: Go with black because of city soot; cute and comfortable Repetto ballet flats; an MZ Wallace handbag with zippered pockets for cell phones and quick cab money; and a few well chosen accessories. We went with the Serena Double Drop Earring, a pair of Mixed Metal Bangles and a gold Bora watch.
WHERE TO STAY: The Saint Regis Hotel where you will feel like a princess and you will be treated to a royal bill.
WHERE TO EAT: We love Quatorze for French cuisine and Serafina for casual Italian.
WHERE TO HANG: The King Cole Bar for a post shopping cocktail. For the younger set, Dylan’s Candy Bar for a fantastical candy store.
WHERE TO SHOP: Everywhere really, but we had fun here…
Bergdorf Goodman to swoon over handbags and to get a quick makeup refresh by any one of their fabulous makeup artists.
Lord and Taylor for some dress shopping heaven.
C. Wonder in Soho for something cute and preppy.
Madewell for jeans and tops.
Kate Spade for some colorful browsing.
Forever21 and H&M- the flagship versions of these stores are good for trendy items.
Duane Reade- pick up a few bottles of Diamond Shield Top Coat. It is a great product and hard to find.
TRAVEL TIP: Remember to empty your room safe upon checkout so that you don’t leave your iPad locked safely in Room 402 only to realize it while you’re standing in the airport security line. Darn!!
